In response to the Lebanese context, following parliamentary elections in 2022, SEID established the Environmental Justice Unit (EJU) in collaboration with Dr. Najat Aoun Saliba, a globally renowned scientist, and the first female environmentalist to serve in the Lebanese Parliament. Dr. Saliba brings over two decades of scholarly research and activism centered around environmental remediation efforts in Lebanon.
