The Environmental Justice Unit (EJU), operated by SEID, defends Lebanon’s natural resources through legal and policy advocacy, addressing environmental violations such as illegal logging and pollution. From April to December 2023, the International Republican Institute (IRI) supported the EJU, helping to strengthen its advocacy and community engagement efforts. The EJU continues to focus on legal reforms and accountability for environmental violations, playing a crucial role in defending Lebanon’s natural resources.
